I’ve set my MailChimp audience to single opt-in and the settings on the plugin are single opt-in. Yet, when I sign-up, I get the Subscription Confirmation email.

Shouldn’t my email be added automatically?

@pluckvermont we had a similar report on this yesterday and are working on a fix for this (more details can be seen here: https://github.com/mailchimp/wordpress/issues/113). We’re working to get a minor release out to resolve this, so keep an eye on your WordPress admin updates for a Mailchimp List Subscribe Form release there. I’ll otherwise ping you here when that’s ready as well.
