    Every time WordPress updates, it messes up my IP server. It should have my host IP but it defaults back to WordPress. Now I can’t log-in again since my page is down.

    I don’t know what you mean by that. Can you explain?

    How is your site hosted? It seems to be hosted by Automattic. Are you using wordpress.conm? Due to the differences between the various site hosting plans offered at wordpress.com and the self-hosted and self-installed version of WordPress supported here, you should probably ask WordPress.com Support instead.

    Hi Steve,

    It should have my Bluehost IP address which hosts my website. This happens once in awhile every time WordPress automatically updates. The last time this happened, my page had an error but I was still able to log-in the admin and make changes. But now it won’t even let me.

    My domain is registered through WordPress but it is hosted by Bluehost.

    This is probably best handled by Bluehost tech support. Why would you have your IP address in your URL? (If that’s what you’re saying….)

    When you moved your site to Bluehost, did you change it to use Bluehost’s name servers?

    It sure seems to me that your site is hosted by WordPress.com and not Bluehost.

    This is what Bluehost explained:
    I have checked and noticed that domain is not pointing to our servers

    It is pointing to external servers

    ns1.wordpress.com
    ns2.wordpress.com
    ns3.wordpress.com

    You will need to contact them and update the nameservers to ns1.bluehost.com and
    ns2.bluehost.com

    I contacted WordPress but they said my site is cancelled…. I’m so confused with what’s going on!! No one in WP is available…they always direct me to forums.

    Do you have a login at wordpress.com related to the domain? In any case, I’m sorry, but this is an issue between you and your domain registrar and has to be worked out there. We may be “wordpress” here, but it’s not related to that.
