You can always generate new backup codes and change the 2A setup from the user’s profile page. You can refer to the post What are 2FA backup codes for more information.

@robert681 thanks for your answer. I found the codes. Maybe it would not be a bad idea to move that to the 2FA-Plugin-Section.

Every user can find all the 2FA and backup code settings in their user profile page. Also, as an administrator you can go to a user’s profile page and reset their 2FA etc. The 2FA plugin pages are only available to users with administrator user role, so users wouldn’t be able to change their 2FA settings if we move the settings there.
