    I am using Easy Digital Downloads as an integration with The Events Calendar and their ticketing addons, along with using PayPal. If a user comes to our site and clicks to register for an event and purchase a ticket, but does not complete the transaction – they are still sent an email confirmation as if they have paid.

    I have reported this to the TEC support. They were able to replicate and confirm the problem, but they have suggested contacting EDD as well. Please offer any help you can to work out this bug.

    There is no problem when users complete payment — it is only in the case of incomplete or abandoned payment that we have the problem of the user getting a confirmation and emailed ticket for which they haven’t paid.

    Hi @abigailm

    Please make sure you are running the latest EDD version and see if the issue still persists. Is the email coming from the TEC plugin or is it the Purchase Receipt email that EDD Sends?

    If it’s an email from TEC then it’s something that they need to look into as perhaps the code is triggering the email to be sent out for orders that have a status other than “Completed”.

    Thanks — it looks like the email is coming from the TEC plugin. I have been working with their support team, but they requested that I also contact you to determine whether there are issues tied to EDD that might be causing this.

    Hi.

    We don’t have access to their code base so we can’t really check on this. It could be something in the way the code is checking to send the emails that might trigger for incomplete Orders.
