• I’m getting this error:

Warning: unlink(/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/apps/wordpress/tmp/magic-liquidizer-responsive-table-z9v9d8.tmp) [function.unlink]: No such file or directory in /home/embroid7/public_html/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 493
Download failed. Destination directory for file streaming does not exist or is not writable.

When I try to update or download a new plugin.

I created the site on a localhost on xampp then transferred to the live site, now I’m getting this error.

How can I fix this? (In simplest terms possible, please!!)

Anyone have a solution for this?

I’ve tried to look up other similar topics, but could not understand them fully or they werent the same situation.

Trying to bump this up because I really need help in finding a solution.

Check to see if the plugin is in your installed plugin place. For me, if a plugin fails to download, it still shows up in me installed plugins section.

It is still in the installed plugins section.

If it’s in the installed plugin section, then you can just activate it and use it.

I don’t think you understand the issue. When I update or try to download a new plugin it gives me this error:

Warning: unlink(/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/apps/wordpress/tmp/magic-liquidizer-responsive-table-z9v9d8.tmp) [function.unlink]: No such file or directory in /home/embroid7/public_html/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 493
Download failed. Destination directory for file streaming does not exist or is not writable.
