stats or encrypted downloads? Not necessary, just want these mp3s to be able to be saved by users by downloading them.
You have either stats or encrypted download enabled and your server is interfering somehow. Are they enabled on purpose?
Then add stats=false to your shortcode, or disable stats on the File Away settings page.
not on purpose, because I don’t know how to do that yet, it that in settings?
I disable statistics and it works now, you think my server is interfering with downloader.php like permissions or .htacess?
Yeah, something, but I wouldn’t be able to troubleshoot much without total access, which isn’t necessary since for your purposes for the time being it’s doing all you need with stats disabled.
Thanks for your quick response, Thom. I would like to set something up for you to take a look at this system for delivering podcast archives. I am having trouble with .htaccess settings which seem to disable the directory browsing in this archive area…even when I add a

Hi Thom, New user – just getting started – day 1.
Successfully created a page that shows a directory listing, but when I click on an item to download I get a “500 internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for and it cannot be displayed”
This is a windows server 2012 box with IIS 8.5
Appreciate this is probably not a File Away issue but any help would be appreciated.

Sorted … there was a rogue web.config file in the sub directory which had been copied over from the working (ASP) server
