The problem seams to be on the file… I just tried to point directly to it and it doesn’t show in the browser; try it yourself pasting the url in the address bar:

I shortened the file name – it now plays fine in the player and will open if you click on the URL http://sjbmen.org/documents/2013-05-21-Fr-VanDenBroeke-Marriage-Eucharist.mp3
The file will still not download when using the download button, however. The problem seems to be related to the file size. The size of this file is 84MB.
I tested the download button with a smaller mp3 file in this post and it works fine http://sjbmen.org/relativism-versus-truth/
The download function in the plug-in does not appear to be working for larger files.
I’m having the same problem. I want to allow my visitors to download mp3 files, but it appears that the plugin won’t allow them to do so on files over 30mb. Is this an issue that is being worked on?

This is an issue that I can’t solve as it depends by the web server you are running on.
You should check for a solution on your server side.

What is the issue you believe to be on the “server side”? The file downloads just fine using the URL, so this does not appear to be a problem with the server.
same for me (i use drop box url for mp3), the download was working fine in old versions and now it just open the dropbox playing page…..
