    Hi,

I am using woocommerce since last few years and working great. But i have issue with downloadable products. Actually, we are selling downloadable products on my site and download files is uploaded in subdomain. Those file should not be directly accessible. so i have changed the permissions of my download files to private. Now the issue is my website also unable to fetch the files due to changing permissions.

so is it possible to give access those files if they are trying to access through woocommerce download section only? Direct link should not be worked. Please advise.

Please note that the subdomain only has files without installing WordPress.

    Thanks!

Hi @jd96 – the best way to do this is to upload the downloadable files directly within the product’s downloads. If you upload the download in ‘Media’, then attach it to the product, it will be directly accessible by anyone with the link.

When you upload the file initially within the product, this puts the file in a different folder that’s only accessible via the Downloads section in their My Account page.

    Hi,

so there is no option to upload files in subdomain and accessible via main woocommerce website. right? If we dont want to directly accessible via link. Yes, i have uploaded files directly within products and it does not directly accessible. Can we apply this same solution to subdomain files? so they can download files via my download section only. Please advise.

    Thanks!
