Draft Permalink Issue in Custom Post Type

    Hi Author,

    Good day! thank you for the great plugin. It appears that there is a bug when drafting the post. Below is the scenario.

    1. Create a new Post (In our case new Custom Post).
    2. Save it as a draft.
    3. On the SEO Yoast Plugin, in the section Keyword tab > Edit snippet edit the fields, for example, edit only meta description then save as draft.
    4. Now the permalink is doubled for example. “www.domain.com/events/halloween” become “www.domain.com/events/eventshalloween” you will notice that the “events” is created again besides “halloween”.

    This is only happening on draft, I think when the post is Live this bug is not occurring I hope you can help us.

    Note: my plugins are up to date.

    @tdluiamisola Thanks for the heads up. I have checked and found that when you update the description in Yoast SEO then it automatically updates the slug of the post. If your permalink structure contains “%postname%” then it would be duplicated.

    I have resolved this issue. Please check the latest version and provide your valuable feedback.

    Hi Sami,

    I believe it solved the issue, but now Yoast slug field is gone (the permalink is not added/autofill) and yes the permalink structure contains %postname%.

    Causes the Snippet Preview’s slug only the domain not the full permalink of the posts.

    @tdluiamisola Don’t worry that’s only for the view. It doesn’t harm your SEO.

    Thank you for your reply, I honestly thought that it is the case, but when the client/admin see it they panic, is there any way we can make it functional as before? the interaction between the two plugins?

    Hi just check the latest version, and it is working! however, I found out that there is still a bug not 100% sure but just an observation.

    When I created a new post, save as draft, fill-up some usual stuff like content, yoast, excerpt etc. and hit publish the preview draft permalink is changed for example. http://domain.com/this-is-a-new-thought-leadership-post is changed to http://domain.com/new-thought-leadership-post after published.
