Hi, I want to add a drop-down menu with custom links to the right side of my header. Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks!

  • The easiest way to do this is by going to Appearances > Menus and creating the menu.
They you can add it to your header if your theme allows this, or add it to a widget.
It really depends on your theme though.

Thanks for the reply. When I do that all the links just appear at the top, and they do not appear in a drop-down menu. Are there any plugins that can fix this for me, or any way I can fix it on my own?

You’ll need to add CSS for these links to appear as drop downs, Your theme should have these in there .

Try switching to Twenty Twelve or Twenty Eleven and have a look to see if they appear as drop downs there.

I switched to Twenty Twelve and things still aren’t in a drop down menu. What CSS would I have to add?

If you are using the Twenty Twelve theme, the CSS is in there.
The drop downs are probably not set properly.

When you create a custom menu, you add pages and then the ones you want as sub-pages, you need to indent them.

Perhaps a link to your site would help. Can you provide a link to your site please?

    Got it working, thanks!

Perfect. Glad it worked. Please mark this post as resolved when you have a second, that way others who may have the same issue, will be able to get the answer as well. 🙂
