Dropbox as CDN

    I am loading a number of longer-time MP3 files, and don’t want to serve those files from my media library. I would strongly prefer to use Dropbox as the CDN, but initial attempts to link to the MP3s on Dropbox routinely fail.
    Is there some special flag, trigger, or code that we need to add in to allow Dropbox to serve these MP3s?

    It should work 100%, just make sure you put the correct path to the media file in the media source input. Please check and let me know!

    No — it doesn’t seem to be working at all. I’ve tried DropBox and Google Drive and neither work. I’ve made certain that permissions are allowed to enabled ‘anyone with the link’ to view/access the file. Not sure why it fails to load.

    I’ve even tried changing the URL parameters to disable the file behavior details that are often included on the various files from Dropbox/Google Drive when you share a file (i.e., MyMediaFile.mp3?dl=0 is being linked as just MyMediaFile.mp3. The “?dl=0” string is omitted. )

    Hi, please check my answer on the ticketing system and share with me a URL to one of your media files.
    From my point of view (tested the player with external URLs to media files), as long as you can open and play the file in the browser and access is public, it will also be played by the player.

    For dropbox URL, please change domain from

    https://www.dropbox.com

    to

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com

    to have direct access to the media file.
