Dropbox errors

    I’m seeing a lot of the following errors, but not consistently – some backups are fine and some throw an error. I have tried removing and reinstalling the plugin and re-authenticating the Dropbox account several times.

    Hmmm, interisting. But the Dropbox api sometimes has problems on dropbox side. Else you can try the new version caming today.

    I get it as well. When I look at the job profile under DropBox it says it’s Authenticated, but I consistently get “ERROR: Dropbox API: (401) Unauthorized” – any ideas?

    I have changed the Dropbox Auhtorization to oAuth 2 but that will not came with the next relase. I can try to make a beta for this after the release.

    I run about 60 backup jobs and 11 work. The other ~50 say Error: Dropbox API: (401) Unauthorized.

    I’ve verified that all the failed jobs do say ‘authenticated’ in the BackWPup configuration, so I’m not sure why this is happening? I have the jobs going off as WP Cron jobs and have them staggered so they’re not piled-up on one another (I thought this was the issue last month when I saw all the failed back-ups).

    Does this plugin work? If not can someone suggest one that does? I’ll be manually running all the SQL dumps and exports… again. :/

    I get the Dropbox 401 error each time the scheduled job runs also. Possibly something to do with having two step authentication enabled?

    Would be very happy if you take care of the problem.

    I’m having a similar problem. When I try to authenticate DropBox, I get the following error:
