I have sorted all of my images into folders but now when I go to add an image, the folders are not visible in the add image interface. It says “no folder selected” and when I try and choose a folder, it only offers unorganized, which is empty. There is a picture that says “Want to switch between folders more comfortably?” And when I click on “I want to learn more!” I am taken to the Real Media Library plugin page. I don’t see any instructions there to display the folder tree.
I have looked in the settings, but they only offer one setting (sorry I forget what it is, but it does not sound relevant).

I am sure I will be told to disable all of my other plugins, but that is such a pain and means redoing the customizations I have already done with some. I am pretty sure this plugin was working before, but I haven’t added images in a few weeks and I may have added the folders after that time.

    Hi again!

I am sure I will be told to disable all of my other plugins, but that is such a pain and means redoing the customizations I have already done with some.

This is not true. By deactivating a plugin (not deinstall!) you will not loose any customizations and settings.

Can you please try to deactivate all other plugins and check if it works then?

Also, can you please share a screenshot while you have opened the developer console (F12 > Tab “Console”) and afterwards reproduce the issue?

    Regards,
    Matthew 😊

I went in this morning to recreate the issue, and now the folders show. I didn’t change anything this morning, except run WP optimize. That appears to have removed whatever conflict was happening.

(Perhaps when I ran into the loss of settings it was performing a removal and reinstall. I think it was widgets I lost off of my menus, if I remember correctly.)
