• we’re using the Zakra theme on our website and noticed a confusing behavior in the main navigation on tablets and mobile devices in landscape mode. The submenu toggle arrows (<code data-start=”501″ data-end=”522″>.zak-submenu-toggle) are displayed correctly on mobile phones in portrait orientation, which is great. However, they do <strong data-start=”623″ data-end=”637″>not appear on tablets or mobile phones in landscape mode, even though the menu is still fully touch-controlled there. This is problematic because menu items that have submenus <strong data-start=”804″ data-end=”824″>require two taps to follow the main link:

    • The first tap expands the submenu
    • The second tap opens the linked page

Is there a built-in way to <strong data-start=”1108″ data-end=”1140″>enable submenu toggle arrows for tablets (viewport width between 768px and 1023px)?
Or do you recommend a different solution to make submenu navigation clearer for touch users?

  • Hi @gwb2025,

Thank you for the valuable information.

We tested the issue you mentioned for touch users and were able to reproduce the problem with the submenu links. We’ve reported this bug to our developer team and plan to include the fix in the next update of the theme.

    Best regards!
