Duplicate content

    I need to start a new wordpress website in another region of the country servicing the same industry. It needs a new business name or I would use the current site. I want to use the same layout and information but am worried about Google thinking i have duplicate content. Will a multi site help?

    No, personally I never advise the use of multisite because it has some problems.

    I would use a plugin like Duplicator to create a duplicate version of the site and then make the changes you need to make.

    Where it comes to google, if the content is exactly the same it will not matter too much what the business name or site name are. They still could tag it as spam if they consider the content to be spam based on their other criteria.
