Duplicate emails for new user

    Hi,
    I have created a New User – Post-registration Emailnotification which works perfectly.

    I have also created a – New User Registration – For User notification and disabled it as recommended so I don’t get the standard wordpress email as well. However when I register a new user, I still receive both emails.

    Hi @markhatter1,
    Thanks for your message.

    This usually happens when another plugin is overriding the settings and BNFw can’t then override that. Can you look at your plugins and see which one might be doing this? Typical offenders are membership or user approval/registration plugins.

    Also worth checking you’re using the latest version of BNFW and WP.

    Hi,

    I think the issue is with Easy Digital Downloads. If I register through any of their pages, I see the issue but if I register via the default WordPress register page, it works as intended.

    Have you seen issues with EDD before?

    Hi,

    Just to let you know, Easy Digital Downloads gave me the following code to add to my functions.php to disable their standard email –

    remove_action( ‘edd_insert_user’, ‘edd_new_user_notification’, 10, 2 );

    It works perfectly

    My WP does not allow a new user at this time??
    I followed a suggestion to deactivate all plugins and change to the default theme of 27, but no luck so far even with new theme??
    There is something not working correctly with WP??

    I need some additional Help, adding a new user, since I lost my original login
    password? The only option I have not tried is a different email address??
    Would this work?
