    Hello!

    Thanks for the screencast!

It looks like you might have 2 different things adding FAQs, perhaps another plugin or something built in to your theme?

The way I can tell the 2nd Faqs menu (spelled FAQs, not Faqs, note the Caps) isn’t from us is the capitalization and the fact that there are no Faqs listed when you click on it.

Do you know what Theme you are using and what other plugins you are using? I could probably figure out where it’s coming from, but I don’t believe its ours!

    All the best,
    Richard

Hi Richard, I really don’t know what’s up with this. The second plug-in has exactly the same behavior as EasyFAQ. And there is only one plug-in installed.

This will likely remain an unsolved mystery. It’s not bugging me that much, more just a mild PITA, no biggie.

    Hey Alex!

Well I hate that you have to deal with this!

If you pause the video at :35 and look in the URL bar, you can see post_type value set to avada_faq — I believe this indicates that this is coming from your theme (are you using an Avada theme?)

If that is the case, I don’t think you can do anything to remove it, outside of some custom PHP in your theme to remove that menu item. If you want to go down that path, I believe you want to start here: https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Function_Reference/remove_menu_page

    All the best,
    Richard

Okay! That was a serious WTF moment. Yes I’m running Avada. I’m fairly new to Avada and now I see they must install this FAQ plug-in. Why it’s not on any plug-in list is beyond me.

Thanks — all good — nothing to see here. Again, thanks for your help in resolving this mystery.
