Hi @passerbliss
Thanks for reaching out to us.
It’s hard to tell why the site may have duplicate form fields. It could have been user error from the other user or possibly a conflict from another plugin that cause this.
To resolve this, you can go to Directory > Directory Content > Form Fields in your WordPress dashboard and check for duplicates of the “Listing Title” field or any other repeated fields. If you find duplicates like listing_title_1, these can be safely deleted unless you specifically need them for some reason. This cleanup should help reduce the load and prevent the page from hanging.
If you have any other questions, please let me know!
Best regards,
Hi @garret1996
Thanks for you help so far. The problem is I cannot even delete the entiries as they are causing the page to hang. There was indeed another business directory plugin installed, and I have disabled this.
I have included a link to screenshot that demonstrates that it gets as far as ID 131 and then stops loading (for some reason I couldn’t embed it): https://ibb.co/20SQsSv9
BR,
Hi @passerbliss
Thanks for the update.
This type of issue shouldn’t normally cause the page to hang, so it might be worth checking with your hosting provider. There could be something on the server side—like a slow database query or resource limitation—that’s affecting performance when you try to delete the fields.
If you have any questions, please let me know!
Best regards,
Thanks @garret1996
I tried a different browser, where the page didn’t hang however that doesn’t solve the problem – as the list of fields at first glance appears infinite (I scrolled down as far as ~4000 entries). There doesn’t appear to be an option to bulk delete form fields either and manually deleting does not appear to be an option.
Perhaps you could guide me on where this information is coming from, in case I need to consider manually deleting it from the database?

Hi @garret1996,
I cannot contact the help desk without without taking out a plan, however I am not keen to pay for a plan for a product that I cannot trial as it appears to be broken out-of-the box.

Best regards,
Thank you, support ticket submitted. Indeed you are right, I was momentarily dissauded by the red warning box.
In case any one else comes across this issue, I would just like to add that I never got to the bottom of how the plugin ended up in a problematic state, but uninstalling the plugin from the settings and reinstalling solved the problem.
