After months of trying to resolve an issue with CallRail (3rd-party call and form reporting plaatform), and being billed more due to the increase in forms, they continue to state we should check with contact 7 with the following background / questions:

    From CallRail:

Regarding the forms issue, we’ve identified that this specific form provider is generating two separate submissions in our system with different fields filled at each submission time. For example, the attached form submission.

You can see that the two forms we received have different fields filled, which circumvents our deduplication system. These forms also come in with different timestamps (attached below). If the forms were duplicates in our system, they would have the same submission time since our system would have created it off of the same session event. Because they have different fields filled and different submission times, and because this is tied to a single form provider rather than global across our system, these dupes cannot be made by CallRail. The way the provider is submitting these form events is creating two separate form submission events in our system.

Are you able to review the attached timestamps and determine they are submitting different fields filled for the same contact at the same time?

    1. Does Contact 7 have a re-submission process in place for this form? Where it will submit once, and then re-submit again with these additional backend fields?

    2. Would it help for contact 7 to send a submission log for the form submission we’re reviewing as an example?

What other plugins and theme do you use on the site?

    (@joestlg)

The theme installed was Twenty Twenty-Five and now it is custom. I only see this info in the theme details (By Anonymous – WordPress SEO friendly theme). The current site and theme have been active for more than two years, and this issue only started recently.

    Active plugins include the following:

    Must use plugins include:

Kinsta Must-use Plugins, ManageWP – Worker Loader

    Inactive plugins include:

Accessibility by UserWay, Anti-Spam by CleanTalk, Autoptimize, NitroPack, WPS Hide Login

    Thank you.

Try switching to the default theme, deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7, Akismet Anti-spam, Flamingo, Wordfence Security and Yoast SEO, and clearing all cache data.

Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.

Okay thank you for this. Would the process be to do what you recommend, and then test the forms, and / or anything else we should notate or capture?

Should we set any expectations with the business in regard to any downtime for the site or anything else?

Would we test the forms, and the revert to the custom theme and activate all plugins right after the form tests regardless of the results?

    Thank you.
