    On my website, my SEO plugin (The SEO Framework) and SiteKit are both generating Meta Description tags. This can be seen by viewing the source on https://f3investigations.com/services/cyber-digital-forensics/

    The SEO Framework:

    <meta name="description" content="F3 Investigations offers comprehensive digital forensics services. Trust our forensic computer analysts and cyber investigators to uncover digital evidence and protect your interests." />
    <meta property="og:type" content="website" />
    <meta property="og:locale" content="en_US" />
    <meta property="og:site_name" content="F3 Investigations" />
    <meta property="og:title" content="Digital Forensics | Trust Our Cyber Investigators" />
    <meta property="og:description" content="F3 Investigations offers comprehensive digital forensics services. Trust our forensic computer analysts and cyber investigators to uncover digital evidence and protect your interests." />
    <meta property="og:url" content="https://f3investigations.com/services/blockchain-crypto/" />
    <meta property="og:image" content="https://f3investigations.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/bitcoin-4130299_1280.png" />
    <meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image" />
    <meta name="twitter:title" content="Digital Forensics | Trust Our Cyber Investigators" />
    <meta name="twitter:description" content="F3 Investigations offers comprehensive digital forensics services. Trust our forensic computer analysts and cyber investigators to uncover digital evidence and protect your interests." />
    <meta name="twitter:image" content="https://f3investigations.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/bitcoin-4130299_1280.png" />

    Sitekit:

    <meta name="description" content="Need to locate hidden assets or verify financial stability? F3 Investigations offers thorough asset searches for individuals, attorneys, and corporations. Contact us today!">

    How do I disable this feature in SiteKit?

    Thanks for reaching out @geek2009. While I’m unsure on any filters to remove the SEO Framework placed meta generatar tags, you can add the below to a custom snippets plugin, or your themes functions.php. Preferably you would use a child theme as opposed to your main theme so the addition doesn’t get overwritten.

    add_filter( 'googlesitekit_generator', '__return_empty_string' );

    Once this filter is active on your site, the Site Kit placed meta generator tag will not longer exist.

    Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

    Hey James, thank you for taking the time to respond, I appreciate you!

    I tried that and the meta tag is still there.

    Before:

    <meta name="generator" content="Site Kit by Google 1.132.0" /><meta name="description" content="Need to locate hidden assets or verify financial stability? F3 Investigations offers thorough asset searches for individuals, attorneys, and corporations. Contact us today!">

    After:

    <meta name="description" content="Need to locate hidden assets or verify financial stability? F3 Investigations offers thorough asset searches for individuals, attorneys, and corporations. Contact us today!">

    Thanks for the update @geek2009. The <meta name="description"... tag you highlighted isn’t coming from Site Kit. It’s likely from another plugin. Such description meta tags are common for SEO plugins. If you temporarily deactivate the SEO Framework, does this remain?

    Sorry about that! It looks like it was generated by the Hello Elementor theme. It is just placed directly behind Sitekit code… Thanks!!
