Duplicate plugin?

Hello , I’m using the plugin with custom post type and it works perfectly . But I would like to know if you can see the related post by categories . I have several custom post type ” releases” , ” artists” , “video ” , etc .
In the settings there is this possibility , but it is so generic . I should set these specific widgets assigned to each custom post type . Let me explain, at the custom post type ” releases” are to be seen only related post of “release” in the ” artists” only those ” artists” , etc.

Is it possible ?
I had intended to duplicate the widget, but I do not know whether it is correct.
