Duplicate Post function not working for Elementor Section Templates

    Hi,

    I have Yoast Duplicate Post enabled for elementor templates. I am trying to duplicate Elementor Sections such as the one labelled “Editor’s Pick” near the top of the page linked above.

    However, there seems to be a known error with Yoast Duplicate Post where clicking CLONE on a saved Elementor Section Template duplicate that item as an Elementor PAGE Template instead. Which is unusable.

    This issue was surfaced on this forum 6 months ago here and acknowledged by the moderators but there have been no further updates on a fix. Can you provide any assistance or updates now?

    Hi @andycrossley

    Thanks for reporting this issue. Yes, there is an open bug report for this issue where duplicating the Elementor ‘section’ template creates a copy as a ‘page’ template.

    I’ll try to ask for an update with our developers on this and try to get back to you.
