Duplicate Prevention Not Working

    I have the plugin installed, and the media index is created. I grabbed an image that was already in the library and uploaded it to see how the duplicate prevention works, but it didn’t prevent anything. I now have a duplicate image in the library.

    Unfortunately, duplicate upload blocking was a feature that we had to remove a while back due to incompatibilities with the Block Editor – long story short, the Block Editor did not handle or display upload errors well. However, it seems like the editor team has since made some improvements to the way image blocks handle errors, and we may be able to restore this feature in a future release.

    For now, we recommend using Smart Delete to remove duplicates after uploading, if uploading duplicates is unavoidable.
