duplicate registration

    my WordPress was updated to 4.2.3 and then 4.2.4, suddenly when registering, after putting the email address and password the user is prompted to a page that has duplicate message under “my address” to click on “edit” and enter their address.
    i am a simple wp user, and i’d rather fix it myself and not ask for a programmer to fix it (will cost me money).
    how do i do that?

    when registering…the user is prompted…to click on “edit” and enter [a different] address.

    Are you certain the address is not already in use by anyone?

    Hi, yes. a new user is trying to enter theur address.
    under the “my address” there are 2 messages, side by side of:
    “to complete the registration please click on edit and enter your home address”
