duplicate slugs

    Hi,
    I’m fairly experienced with WordPress. I can’t seem to view one of my Pages.

    I deleted a page called Contact. I tried to create another and I got the duplicate slug -2. I went in to the trash, deleted permanently the old Contact page. I emptied the trash. I still have -2 attached to the new Contact page. I edited the slug and took the -2 off. But now when I try to visit the Contact Page (front) I get a 404 Page not found. I can’t view my Contact page at all.

    Anybody know why?
