Dynamic Properties deprecated

Hi Alan,

I’ve had an issue with the free version where the eventbrite plugin loses the date, book now and except. I managed to create a staging version of the affected site but as its for a SEND organisation I’m wary about publishing a link.
My understanding is that php8.2 is stricter with dynamic properties and that is throwing things. The admin warnings show:

Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property WidgetForEventbriteAPI\Includes\Core::$freemius is deprecated in /www/wp-content/plugins/widget-for-eventbrite-api/includes/class-core.php on line 53 Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property WidgetForEventbriteAPI\Includes\Core::$utilities is deprecated in /www/wp-content/plugins/widget-for-eventbrite-api/includes/class-core.php on line 54

And the front end has lots of warnings chiefly around /widget-for-eventbrite-api/includes/class-eventbrite-event.php on line 128 and includes these:

Are these properties likely to get an update over the next month?

For your information, your shared Deprecated warning with our plugin mostly arises when a PHP version upgrade to 8.2 or 8.2+ is done on any site.

I found the real culprit in the mismatch between your updated plugin and some custom templates I’d created to match my client’s design. I’d built them in line with this page: https://fullworksplugins.com/docs/display-eventbrite-events-in-wordpress/developer/creating-a-custom-layout-template-for-the-plugin/
The fix was to replace some /parts/ files with those in your current version and amend the customized loop file.

Sorry for wasting your time – I’m writing this to remind myself when there’s future updates to check the custom template first.
