e-commerce site using WordPress

    Hi

    I am trying to setup an e-commerce site using WordPress. I tried some other CMS for e-commerce but I think wordpress is better option once configured properly.

    Which plugins do you suggest? Free and paid both.
    Also, I want to do product comparison, i.e. user should be able to compare 2 similar products in same/different categories.

    I am very new to WordPress, but good at php, css and customization. Any tips and suggestions are appreciated.
