    E-mail activation for registration

I choose this option but it doesnt seem to do anything JUST LIKE if i set it to

    redirect to a certain page

IT WONT DO THAT ( im talking about the very one drop down field where you can select “Email activation for registration necessary”

Its like the option i have selected is simply not doing anything…

I want people who want to register on my website being forced to click a Link in their E-mail Message to activate their account and only then they can log in !

    Thank you

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

please install an email log plugin and check if the notification is logged, but not sent or if there is no log at all.

In the 1st case, the problem would be with the mail server, most likely it could be solved with an SMTP plugin.

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Hey there,

    i installed “Log Emails” plugin

    AND

it does show that the correct mails both have been send

it just send out the wrong email to the new user…

    >>>

I get the “new user account created E-mail” to my normal wordpress / admin e-mail

and the person who registered a new account gets an e-mail with his login credentials except for the password. It says “the password you have chosen while registering”

Why does it not trigger the Activation Mail ?

Like i said: It seems that this option i selected in the drop down menu ( userswp – general > REGISTER ) is not doing anything…

Its like userswp is just using the standard settings and ignoring what i selected in the drop down menu ( userswp – general > REGISTER )

im using – PLUGINS – IM NOT USING SMTP SERVICE JUST NORMAL WORDPRESS INSTALLATION ON WEBHOST ALL-inkl.com ( also providing e-mail )

    Hi,

Can you go to UsersWP->Form Builder->Account Form and select the form from the dropdown if you have multiple forms created then click on the “Form Options” button to see the form options of the form selected and make sure “Require Email Activation” is selected in “Registration Action:”. Let me know if it helps or not.

Thanks a lot >>> USERSWP -FORM BUILDER [ ACCOUNT ] – FORM OPTIONS BUTTON <<<

that was the solution. Works like a charm now

Don’t you think its a bit too hidden? that e-mail activation setting ?

I mean it is also found under userswp > userswp > register > “drop down menu option”

Maybe its in the FAQ or i have missed it but could be easier :/

    Anyways. Thx for helping 🙂

    Hi,

We provided a multiple registration forms functionality in the last plugin update so we have to provide the same settings per form so we have moved it to the form builder. We will add this to our documentation very soon.

    Regards,
    Patrik
