    Hi!

E-mail notification doesn´t sent when new post publish on the site. It has worked really well before but for some reason it has stopped working. I tried to solve the problem but not succed. The last time a notification was sent was 28/1. Could the problem have to do with the latest WordPress-update?

    Thankful for quick reply

    /Viktor

    Hi @vsynnerdahl,

    Thanks for contacting us.

The issue shouldn’t be related with the updates. Also, we have checked this issue but it looks like it is working fine at our end.

If you can provide answers to the following queries that will help us to understand the issue better,
    1) Is there any active post notification campaign? Also while publishing the post, did categories were selected as configured in the active campaign?
    2) Is the post is newly created or cloned from the existing post? For a new post, it should work without any issue but for a cloned post, you might need to perform some additional steps to send emails. Let us know if this is the case. We will then share the required steps.
    3) After publishing the post, can you please check if there is any new report created on the Reports page.
    4) If a report is created, then the issue might be with email sending. Can you please check what happens when clicking on the ‘Send Queued Emails Now‘ button? Are there any errors getting triggered while sending emails? Let us know what you find.

Hope this helps you. Also, let us know if you have any further queries.

    Thank you.

    Hi again!

Now, reports created but customers said that their not get the notification. The reports show that the notification is sent but there is empty under “View Date” (see screenshot). I´ve tried to I create a campaign and just ad my own personal email, publish a post but I don´t get a notification.

Can you please help me solve the problem?

    Hi!

E-mail notice only sent when I create a new post, not when I clone a old post and then post the clone. What is the problem?

It’s more convenient to clone an existing post and then publish it instead of create a new post. Thats why I need your help! 🙂

    Thank you!

    Hello there,

    Thanks for contacting us.

When a post is published, before creating a report for it, the Email Subscribers plugin confirms if emails weren’t sent previously for the post. This helps in avoiding duplicate emails for same post when it is republished multiple times.

Email Subscribers plugin uses a flag in determining if emails were already sent or not for a post. This flag is stored in the post itself.

While cloning a post, it might be possible that this flag is also getting copied along with other post data. And therefore while publishing the post, it is considered as already sent.

Therefore to send emails for the cloned posts, you might need to remove this flag and republish the post again. For this, you might need to enable Custom fields panels on the edit post screen and then delete the ig_es_is_post_notified flag. You can refer to the this screen recording for reference.

After deleting the flag and republishing the post, reports should be generated for the post and gets sent. You can verify it from the admin menu Email Subscribers –> Reports page.

Hope this helps you. Let us know if you have any further queries.

    Thank you.
