Gave v5 a fair chance but it’s truly broken

I previously found this to be an excellent backup plugin – reliable and easy to use, with advanced tools that were intuitive.

It’s been quite a few weeks and I’ve tried very hard to learn the new way of working with the v5 UI, but a lot of functionality has been removed and even some of the basics don’t seem to be in place. This isn’t just a reflex reaction to change; I’ve read their help files and gone to great lengths to avoid having to replace a previously great plugin across all my clients’ websites.

Most worryingly, this morning I opened up the backup file which should be all files and the database, but within the zipped up file a few directories were missing as was the database backup. I’ve also had backups that failed to run when previously they were fine.
