The Events Calendar automatically updated to 6.15.0.1 today, and my site started crashing with the error listed below.

    Hi @paulbeck

Thank you for reaching out, and I apologize for the delayed response.

I wasn’t able to recreate the issue on my end while using The Events Calendar 6.15.0.1. To confirm, are you currently using the standalone Category Colors plugin, or only The Events Calendar?

If you’re still experiencing the issue, please try deactivating our plugins and then reactivating them to see if that makes a difference.

If that doesn’t help, it’s possible a plugin or theme conflict is causing the problem. To isolate the cause, I recommend running a quick conflict test:

    1. Activate only our plugins along with a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-One.
    2. Check if the issue still occurs.
    3. If it works as expected, reactivate your other plugins and theme one by one until the conflict is identified.

I highly recommend performing these steps on a staging site to keep your live site safe and uninterrupted. If you don’t have one set up yet, the WP Staging plugin can help you create it quickly in just a few clicks.

Let us know how it goes.

    Darian,

So, I deactivated most of my plugins and updated EC to 6.15.0.1. It worked fine. Then I deleted a couple of plugins that I did not really need, then activated all the rest. Its now working fine, so I don’t know what was the issue. Thank you for your help anyway, and also about the staging site.
