echo apply filters

Hi All:

I’m pretty new to word press. I have a problem and have searched the archives but I don’t know enough to make heads or tales of some of this.

I’ve inherited a word press site and need to make some changes to the PHP.

The code in question is: <?php echo apply_filters (‘the_content’, get_field (‘blog_blurb’)); ?>

I have searched the whole site and for the life of me, I cannot figure out where the blurb in question is being pulled from. Can anyone explain how the PHP is grabbing the blurb and can you explain how/where I might find the text?

I know it’s not a lot to go. Please don’t flame me. I’m learning.
