    Hello there,
I have trouble displaying the author name in a custom article generated by Knowledge Base created by Echo Plugin https://www.echoknowledgebase.com/
I have contacted them because the author name plus some infos (date,…), does not display in the articles.
They told me to test other themes and see if the problem is still there.
I have tried ten other themes and some display the infos and some don’t.
I pretty much establish the problem is theme base and not plugin base.
    So here i am.
I installed your theme after i installed the knowledge base.
I know its probably a simple manip somewhere but i am not a wordpress master…yet.
Do you have a quick answer for me or do you need more details?

Hello, yes please, I would need more details, can you show me a screenshot of what you have with OceanWP and what you should have if it works?

    Pardon my french.
As you can see, the author name and all the other info are not present.
I really don’t where the problem is.
I know, by asking to Echo Plugin support, that all themes handle custom post differently.
Do you think of a quick way to fix this?
I really don’t want to add a plugin just to display the author name.
    Thank you in advance.

Hi, okay, you just want to add the meta (author, date, category, comments) for your custom post type, that is right?

    Yes the meta.
Now i know how it is called.
Is there a way to do it without playing in the php behind?
    Thank you in advance

No, you need to do some things via your child theme.

So i create a child theme and change how the custom post display the meta.
There is a lot of thing i don’t know how to do, but i guess i will have to figure it out.
    Thank you for your time
