  • There’s a patch at http://mycvs.org/archives/2004/06/30/file-upload-to-wordpress-in-ecto/ to xmlrpc.php which seems to work fine.

I’ve been using this for some time. I’m curious why it is still a “patch” and hasn’t been incorporated into the source code? Or has it? It seems like something that should be done before the 1.3 release.

If they like my patches, the developers will very likely implement a bunch of them in WP 1.3, including image upload.

It’s definitely going in 1.3 as part of the refactored XMLRPC support. As of an hour ago, CVS has support for file upload through wp-admin/xmlrpc.php instead of xmlrpc.php.
If the new support will be the default one remains to be seen, it depends on the time I got to refactor the MT API functions. That shouldn’t be much time, but at the moment I’m moving in a new apartment so things will get delayed for about a week…

Err, I was the author of the previous post. Not like we have anonymous write access to the CVS. 🙂
