The Media Optimizer and WebP Image generator do not work on both of my sites, both are just stuck at 0. The only error I see in the console is below

    Hello @ocap,

Make sure the WordPress cron is working as expected as the Image optimization options depends on it.

If the issue persist, you can update this thread with the URL of your website, so we can further look into the case.

    Best Regards,

Thank you for your update, @ocap!

I have checked both websites – they were missing the Cron event used by the Image optimization. This means there was an issue with your website default Cron Job which caused the issue in question.

In order to resolve the case I went and manually generated the cron event called “siteground_optimizer_start_image_optimization_cron” and executed it.

Now both websites have their images optimized. You can verify the results with Webp images as well.

    Best Regards,
    Elena
