I guess it’s because I’ve been playing around with the codes.
I’d suggest undoing all your modifications and reverting back to the default theme. Then add back your customizations a bit at a time to find the culprit.
Let me know how it goes.

I worked out it’s coming from this:
.textwidget{
display:block;
clear:both;
height: 0px;
padding-top: 10px;
}
Originally the padding-top was 800px which created a huge gap between the picture and the headline.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Adi
Hi Adi, I checked the original Edin stylesheet and am not seeing a reference to anything at all being 800px.
Can you figure out exactly where that’s coming from? Perhaps a plugin?
Your element with the class .textwidget is in another element with the class .widget_black-studio-tinymce – this is not something that comes with either WordPress core or the Edin theme.
Are you using some type of TinyMCE plugin?
To find the culprit, you could try temporarily deactivating all your plugins. If the problematic CSS is gone, reactivate your plugins one-by-one, testing in between each, to find the conflict.
I think this may be coming from your Site Origin/Panels plugin.
Since this looks like is a layout issue caused by your layout plugin, you might want to post in the plugin’s forum to see if they can help you make sure those four columns remain responsive at smaller screen sizes.

Dear Kathryn,
Thank you for all your help. Will look into what you suggest to do and let you know how I get on.

Kathryn,
That issue is now resolved, thank goodness.
I now have an issue with the background picture from the page below.
In http://go-share.org/index.php/nalagaat-2/ , I am having difficulty cutting the photo to the required position when I am in the laptop version. I want to show more of the woman in red who is standing. The mobile version is clearer.
I have made several attempts to cut in the media library but have been unsuccessful so far.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
Adi
Hi Adi, since the featured image is resized on the fly as the browser becomes smaller or larger, there isn’t a way to control what parts of the picture are included at different sizes. One way around this is to choose an image that’s more flexible and forgiving as it’s resized.

Hi Kathryn,
I’m not sure by what you mean when you say “more flexible and forgiving”. Do you mean that it makes “sense” or it looks clear at whatever size the browser makes it?
Thanks,
Adi
I mean an image that can withstand cropping at different screen sizes, for example something where you don’t need to worry about someone’s head getting cut off, for example. π Patterns, abstract images, or images where people’s faces aren’t the focal point are some examples of what I mean – let me know if that’s clearer!

Yes, thanks, much clearer!
Thank you for all your help.
