Hello @bigstephan
Sorry for the late reply
Regarding the user role, if you want to let users manage the Events, they need to have the right access in WordPress role: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/article/roles-and-capabilities. MEC follows the WordPress role and capability. If you need to use another one of the WordPress or use a custom role, you need to use an extra plugin and this table: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/article/roles-and-capabilities/#capability-vs-role-table.
Please follow the steps explained in this article:
https://webnus.net/dox/modern-events-calendar/frontend-event-submission/
Regarding the second question, you can use the User Event feature on MEC: https://webnus.net/dox/modern-events-calendar/user-events/ – Depending on the user role, they can edit their events on FES > edit page or in the WordPress backend > MEC > events.
Please follow the steps explained in this article:

I hope that helps
Best Regards
Hello,
I think you didn’t answer my question really.
First: I know the table of user roles and capabilities. But you didn’t tell which of these capabilities is necessary for my custom role to make it possible to edit the event in FrontEnd…I don’t wan’t to make a copy of the “Editor”-Role. Also don’t want to test every possible capability until i found the right. And i already use a third-party plugin for managing my custom user-role.
Second: with the user events I can give my user the possibility to edit his own events….thats clarified. But I want to make my user be able to edit the events of other users too. Even me (as admin) doesn’t see all events to edit in the Frontend (and I don’t want other users to give access to Backend for event-editing).
I hope my questions are more clear now.
thank you!
br Stephan
