    Hi there,

Thanks for your awesome plugin! πŸ™‚

I followed the instructions to a previous reply here for changing the honorifics:
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/speakout-customize-title-dropdown-in-petition-urgent/

But when looking at the php, I couldn’t find the honorific section in the code at line 113. Have searched through the rest of the plugin and couldn’t find it.

Could you point me to where it is hiding?

I have a very specific use case but I need the titles Prof. and Assoc. Prof. , as well as the option to leave honorific empty.

Alternatively, I will keep an eye-out for the update you are creating for adding more custom fields.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for your kind words.

Yes, line 113 was nearly 2 years ago and the code changes regularly.

Look for line 155 in /wp-content/plugins/speakout/includes/emailpetition.php however your changes may be over-written every time I update the plugin if this file is included in the update – which is often as it is one of the important files.

Instead of requiring edit of php file in future adding an honorific “Prof” would be good. Not all who work as Prof are “doctorate” especially ones coming in from practice/clinical practice so Dr may not apply.
I feel Assoc Prof may not be in use widely as an honorific unlike say in armed forces or government officials where lieutenant, vice or deputy may be used as part of the designation itself.
A blank field in honorific dropdown is good if someone wants to avoid using any honorific.

Thanks! Perhaps I was hoping to persuade inclusion of Prof and blank in the honorific list that the plugin loads! πŸ™‚

If you follow the instructions here https://speakout.123host.net.au/faqconc/can-i-customise-the-honorifics/ that is exactly what happens. The plugin uses your honorifics list instead of the default one.
