Edit List formatting?

Is there a way to edit how a list is displayed? For instance:
– the space between the text above the list and the space below the list. The way lists display now (Auriga theme) places a paragraph space between the text above and below the list, rather than a smaller line break space;
– the space between the lines of the list itself. The lines now are much closer together than the lines of the rest of the page’s text.

So, as a result, the list does not look like it is a seamless part of the txt, but rather more like something pasted there from somewhere else.
