Hi @skariko
Thanks for using PublishPress Capabilities.
We’ve just published a blog post on this topic. Does this help?
https://publishpress.com/blog/capabilities/moderate-comments/
I read the blog post and if I understand correctly what I need is unfortunately not possible.
Thanks
@skariko I think this can be done. There’s a feature in the Pro version of Capabilities that allows you to block admin menus.
You can give users access to edit other people’s posts, and then you can block their access to the “Comments” menu.
Thanks, looks interesting.
Just two questions:
– It really block the comment menu page or just hide it? If the user go to /edit-comments.php will see the page?
– How it works with the comment in the post? Now I see the “modify” link alongside the comment. Would it disappear with that option?
Hi @skariko
– Yes, they will see a “Page Not Found” link
– No, they shouldn’t by default. Once or twice I’ve seen a theme mess with this, but we can help fix it if that happens.
