• I am working with s2member to set up a new membership site. How would I go about adding another native WordPress user field to the s2member edit profile page? I would like people to be able to update their website and bio from this page, but they do not show up on the page by default.

    Thank you for any help!

  • Just create a custom profile field, look in “General options -> Registration/Profile Fields & Options”.

Hi krumch, thanks for the reply! I have created a number of custom fields, so that’s easy, but this site already has several hundred users with bios populated in the native WP bio field. I’m not thrilled with the concept of moving all of that information into a new custom field (although that is, of course, an option) and I was hoping there was a simple way to add the WP bio and website fields to the edit profile form S2 generates. Since s@ already allows you to edit email, first/last and display names, it would seem to not be too horrible to do. I hope. 🙂

Couldn’t you do as krumch suggests, then export your users info to a CSV file (keep a copy as back-up), copy and paste the relevant columns, and then re-import?

Well, sure there is a way to do, by hooks in s2M’s code. But to create a custom fields and to fix DB is much faster…
