    Hi

If someone were to subscribe then for whatever reason unsubscribe, but then click on the old link to their profile again, we see a page with text reading “Subscriber not found.” How do we edit this as having searched through everything, there is no such page or anything to edit.

This is not the error page, ie with a duplicate registration – I have customised that fine, its specifically related to the instance if a user was to click a dead link due to their subscription being removed or unsubscribed.

    Thanks

    Hello,

you can customize that message by going to Subscription > Unsubscription > Advanced.

    Hi

This has no effect – in that message it currently reads as “Subscriber not found, it probably has already been removed. No further actions are required.” however the front-end always reads as “Subscriber not found.” – no matter when I customize this message and save it, the same message is rendered.

Test it on yours – should work the same presumably as this is a fresh install from last week, updated today with latest update.

    Thanks

@simpleserve That text is hardcoded in some files, maybe you see on of those:

Thanks for this – however I would rather not edit the core files – however will do if needed but wanted to check first as it seems odd that you cannot edit this message… 🙁

@simpleserve Of course editing core files isn’t a solution, but it makes it possible to pinpoint the exact code responsible for your issue by temporarily adding different numbers or similar to the output texts. Then with the exact code location, developers may be able to more easily understand the issue and possibly add a configuration option in the plugin backend.

    Hello @simpleserve,

the editable message on my last reply is referred to errors when trying to reach a wrong link (or token), sorry for the confusion, I misread your first post. The message you’re trying to edit is not directly customizable from the plugin, as it refers to a very rare scenario, from our experience. Anyway I’ve let our developers know, so in the future we might consider adding this option as well.

    Regards,

    Michael
