    I found a great form here and have been trying it out.
    However, I don’t know how to edit a message for a required item.
    How can I edit a message with a field validation error?

    For example, Field is required. or Email validate error message

    Hello @redboxcdn,

    Thanks for your inquiry.

    You can edit that text from the translation files.

    For this, you need POEdit software. You need to enter form maker > languages > here you should select the language file that is used on your site. If site is in English, you should edit form_maker-en_US.po file. So you’ll need to download that file, change the text there, then replace the edited file with the original one. Original .po file should also be removed, and once you add .po file .mo file will be generated automatically.
