Could you please enable WP_DEBUG and when loading WordPress Editor / Elementor check for the errors and post them here?
This could be caused by plugin Plugin Conflicts or cache.
Enable WP_DEBUG and when loading WordPress Editor / Elementor check for the errors and post them here. that away, we will be able to follow up from there.
The reason for the error should be visible in the error log. You can find it in your hosting area. If necessary, the support of your hosting can help you.
Alternatively, you could also enable debugging in WordPress. How to do this is described here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ – also here the support of your hosting can help you if necessary to edit the file accordingly.
In both cases you should be able to see what the cause is in the logfile.
Thank you for your messages. Much appreciated. I don’t have much technical knowledge, and I have no idea how to ‘enable WP-DEBUG’. I have Googled that process, but I still cannot work out how to do it. And I can’t find an ‘error log’. Where is this?
Take a look at this link: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ – if you need personal support, it is best to contact your hoster’s support team first.
Thank you threadi. That’s the article I read. It’s just over my head I’m afraid.
My server, Namesco, stated that it’s not a problem their end, but I will try and go back to them with this new advice.
15 years ago I set up and ran my own website very successfully. The systems have all changed dramatically now, and apparently are so much easier to set up and maintain. But this new website has given me so many problems.
Clearing my browser cache did the trick. Appreciate all you advice though.
