Hi @fneumeier,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
I can confirm this, after installing that Chrome Extension for a test (I don’t normally use it).
Unfortunately, there’s nothing really that I can do about this in TablePress 🙁 TablePress is using correct HTML and JavaScript code, as editing would otherwise not be working anyways.
I can therefore only suggest that you bring this to the attention of the support team of that Chrome Extension, so that they can maybe find a fix for it in their Extension’s code.
Or, from a quick glance through the Extension’s settings, it looks like there’s a way to exclude certain sites/URLs/domains. Maybe you could use that somehow?
Regards,
Tobias
Thanks, I completely understand. I’ll try contacting the developer of the extension. Excluding my domain/wordpress from the extension would make little sense as this is where I need the grammar and spelling correction the most 😉
BTW: thanks so very much for this table plugin, it’s just great and version 2 is even better.
Kind regards
Franz
Hi Franz,
ah, yes, excluding your domain was not my smartest suggestion, I guess, as it would indeed break using this e.g. for posts and pages. Sorry! 🙂
Yes, please report it their team. If you hear anything back, please let me know!
And good to hear that you like TablePress and the update 🙂
Best wishes,
Tobias
P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
Hi @fneumeier, hi @chekki,
quick update here: I just had another user report this, but he found that LanguageTool was updated yesterday (December 26th) and that the issues seems to be gone with that new LanguageTool version 🙂
Did you maybe report this to them? If so: Thanks a lot!
Best wishes,
Tobias
Hi, thanks. Have reinstalled LanguageTool Chrome Extension, but there is no improvement. Any idea to get the newest version?
Best regards
Chekki
Tobias, I did report the issue to them and they replied they will look into it. But here unfortunately the same as for @chekki: installed the newest version 1.6.3 in Chrome and the issue is still there. Not sure though whether there had been a new version of LT anyway. I still had version 6.0.0, so I can’t tell what the version number was a couple of day ago …
Hi,
ok, thanks for checking. Yes, version 6.1.3 seems to be their latest version, published on December 26th.
I don’t really know why it would work for that other user, but not for you, sorry. 🙁 He said that he didn’t have problems anymore after double-clicking into table cells.
And thanks for notifying them! Hopefully the can fix this properly, if they haven’t already.
Regards,
Tobias
There is now an Update for the Chrome Extension that should solve the problem (6.1.6).
GitHub Issue for this: https://github.com/languagetool-org/languagetool/issues/7632
Tatsächlich, das Problem ist offenbar behoben mit Extension-Version 6.1.6 🙂
Hi,
awesome! Great to hear that the LanguageTool could fix this so quickly!
I hope you can all enjoy using TablePress 2.0 🙂
Best wishes,
Tobias
