Hi @pmluther,
Thanks for the post!
It’s possible to edit a row in a Data Administration table. That’s always been a possibility.
Could you send us a screenshot of your Actions column? It should have the eye, pencil and trash icon by default. See here: https://share.zight.com/8LuAYdPn
You can also send us a message via Contact | WP Data Access if you want to send more information privately.
We’ll wait for your email!

Hi, Kim,
Thank you for your reply! Unfortunately I do not have a pencil or trash icon, just the eye icon.

Hi @pmluther,
Thanks for the screenshot!
Could you check in the Table Builder > Table > Row Actions if Allow Update and Allow Delete are enabled?
See here: https://share.zight.com/YEu24J1x
More information on row actions here: Row Actions | WP Data Access
We’ll wait for your response!
Hi, Kim,
I’m using the new Data App builder for this table, so I am not seeing a Row Actions option. Is this only available through the old Table Builder?
i am a user,. I had similar symptoms. My problem was the user trying to create the app did not have full administrator access. Check that.

Hi @pmluther,
The Data App type serves as a container for several apps, and each apps has a Table Builder for the options.
Would it be possible to send us a message via Contact | WP Data Access? We might need to take a closer look. π
@charlesgodwin, could you also give us more information about the user role that sees this issue? Is it a custom user role?
We’ll wait for your response!
i can’t recall the specific app so I can’t test. But I happened recently. But I suspect it is related to our multisite WP site. Super admin role can do almost everything but hits the odd bump
Hi, Kim,
After more troubleshooting, I figured out that the issue was the tables I was trying to edit did not have a primary key set. Once I set the key, the editing options became available.
Thank you!
