editing HTML code

Hello,

I find that some plugins don’t have the functionality of removing code from pages. For example, I have configured within the qtranslate plugin to remove Chinese as a language on my language links, yet Chinese is still appearing in my links.Even when I go into the advanced settings within qtranslate and remove Chinese completely, it still shows in my pages.

Is there a hack that gets around this; for example is there some way I can get into the child themes and find the actual code to edit. I have gone through all the child themes and not found the right code to edit.

Anyone got any any advice? I am reminiscing about the old days of Frontpage where any change made in the editor was reflected in the HTML output.. Ahhh..

Please help..
