Editing Profile doesn’t validate input

Hey, I just wanted to ask whether someone else has been struggling with the missing validation after a user updates his profile. For instance, if I type in “2032084rhf” for telephone it accepts the data and updates the data for the profile. Yet when I try the same for my register form it acknowledges that the input is wrong and refuses the submission without correcting the data.

I tried deactivating my plugins and themes, but the issue remains the same. Moreover, the validation worked before for me, but now it doesn’t so I ask myself if there has been an issue with a recent update or something else I am unaware of.
