I’m in the process of converting a website to Gutenberg and have encountered a really annoying/difficult issue with blocks with a single line of text e.g. paragraph, heading, columns etc.

The page above has such single-line text blocks.

I’m finding it very hard to click on the text – when I try and click on this type of text, the editor keeps showing pop-ups to add a block or goes to the block above / below. Same goes for trying highlight text in a single line block. And when I have eventually highlighted it, copying using right click seems impossible (have to use crt+c).

    This was evident in Chrome.

However, this is not an issue with multiple-line blocks – they work just as expected.

    I have found a few work-arounds:

    1. Increase zoom to 200%
    2. Copy the text from the actual web page and paste back into editor
    3. Use Edge (Firefox seems to have same issues as Chrome)

All of the above are a right pain. Maybe I’m missing something but if anyone can offer some advice or tips I’d really appreciate it.

    UPDATE

I’ve just tried editing pages using Trouble Shooter and discovered it’s our Cyberchimps theme that causes the problem! Other themes work perfectly.
