Hi Revelon,
thanks for using MH Squared lite.
Please have a look at the theme documentation where you can follow the necessary steps to configure the theme properly.
Have a nice sunday.
Hi author,
I did have a look at the documentation and have it set up.
But I feel like the widgets aren’t connecting to the actual spots given to them.
Example:
https://gyazo.com/e0c3d8e7b4616a8bc1cb1ba692f15e13
The search widget is just a normal text block (like all of them)
How do I make this, an actual search widget?
Ps: My search widget is as big as a post, how can I adjust sizes of the individual widgets? Like in the template.
What is shown on your screenshot isn’t a search widget, it seems to be a widget that comes with the theme and you’ve just added “Search Widget” as title for the widget.
That won’t work out of course because the widget you are using doesn’t have anything to do with the search widget that comes by default with any WordPress installation. So if you want to use a search widget, you’ll need to place the search widget in your sidebar and not a different widget.
If you are still new to WordPress, we highly recommend some basic WordPress tutorials, because for a smooth experience it probably would be better if you get an overview of basic WordPress knowledge before starting to configure your website. For example if you want to learn more about placing widgets in WordPress, this might be helpful: https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/WordPress_Widgets
”I recently returned to using WP and am starting from scratch.
I have no idea how to use it properly.”
so ”ofc” doesn’t add up, I am trying to configure it by myself. And it’s working alright. But there are some things I won’t know.
I’ll look into it. But nowhere on your documentation was any of this stated however. So I thought if I follow the steps (which I did) I’ll be fine, which didn’t turn out to be the case.
But that’s fine, I’ll look into it!
Please keep in mind that the theme documentation is about the theme only and not about WordPress itself. If you want to learn how to use WordPress, you can find a lot of tutorials online – also in our support center – or check the WordPress Codex as there is a lot of helpful information in there as well: https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/
Yes you’re right, it looks like a great theme! Thanks for the help you’ve given me.
